CHA38S rotary encoder integrates optical, mechanical, and electrical technologies into a speed and displacement sensor. When the encoder shaft drives the grating disc to rotate, the light emitted by the light-emitting element is cut into intermittent light beams by the slits of the grating disc and received by the receiving element. The signal is then processed by subsequent circuits to output pulse or code signals.
